How to update Your inkBOOK e-reader

To download the latest firmware, simply connect your device to Wi-Fi, go to "Settings," select "About Device," and click "System Update."

NOTE: Your e-reader must be charged to at least 30% before starting the update process.

What’s new in the library app?

✅ Added “Folder View” functionality.

Gone are the days of only being able to add books to favorites or create collections. inkBOOK users can now toggle a dedicated “Folder View”.

This is a game-changer for readers who love "organizing things their way." Switching to “Folder View” in the Library app significantly improves the daily user experience:

• Effortless management of large collections. 

We know that scrolling through an alphabetical list of thousands of e-books can be tedious. Folders allow you to group content logically (e.g., separate folders for work documents, fiction, or language learning).

• Mirror Your computer’s structure. 

If you have a collection on your PC organized for example by Genre > Author > Series, your inkBOOK will now display that exact same structure after copying the files.

• Quick Access. 

You no longer need to go to "Files" to open books from folders! You can now browse and open titles directly within the Library app.

oReader = new standard for e-reading

✅ New oReader app for EPUB files with advanced typography settings.

The oReader app is the next step in our commitment to accessibility. It introduces granular control over text layout, specifically word spacing and letter spacing.

Word spacing clearer separation between words prevents text from "blurring" into a single mass. This helps the eyes stay focused on specific words and ensures a smoother flow between lines.

Letter spacing increasing the "tracking" prevents characters from overlapping in the reader's perception, making it easier for the brain to isolate and process individual words.

Furthermore, oReader is fully compatible with EPUB3.X standards, ensuring that the latest professional and academic publications are displayed perfectly. The app is also fast and ready for the new LCP DRM standard.

Choose Your preferred reading app

✅ Manually select which app opens your books via the "Book Details" menu.

You can now choose between three native programs (we highly recommend oReader or exoReader). This also provides quick access to other reading apps you may have installed.

Existing books you are currently reading will open in exoReader. New books that haven't been opened yet will default to oReader.
